We all feel the fact that there’s very little time to do anything. If you find yourself wanting to exercise and get fit and healthy but do not have the time, you’re not alone. But in between doing everything to make sure your kids have everything they need and keeping the house up and running, exercise is something that can definitely be fitted in and around your life. Let’s show you some ways to exercise more.
Compartmentalizing
Breaking your exercises down into little chunks can be very beneficial. The fact is you don’t need to have one solid hour of exercise in order to feel the benefits. Compartmentalizing your exercises into little bits here and there means that you can start to feel the benefits. However, it’s important to make sure that you warm up quickly before you do any of these little exercises, otherwise you may feel particularly sore the next day! Warm-ups like arm circles and jogging on the spot are all very simple things that you can do in 30 seconds before you do 10 press-ups or jumping jacks.
Plan Your Exercises
There is such a thing as doing too much. If you want to get fit and healthy, you can benefit from breaking your workout into little chunks, but you still need to go in with an overarching goal. Having an understanding of what you’d like to achieve, whether it’s to tone up, get stronger, or lose weight, will dictate what type of exercises you need to do. You then can choose the right types of exercises that will suit those particular goals. You don’t necessarily need to have equipment but there are ways for you to work out at home. There is a piece of equipment called the X3 bar, which is a platform and resistance bands attached to an Olympic barbell, and you can very easily make your own and get the benefits of this type of workout.
Exercise Before Everybody Gets Up
Exercising as soon as you wake up can be a great way to get you into the day. Rather than thinking you need to set aside 45 minutes, you can exercise for 10 minutes and still feel the benefits. You have to remember it’s about the intensity of the exercises, rather than how much you do. This is why the 5BX approach is very useful, which is calisthenics in a very quick and effective way. It takes less than 15 minutes to finish your round and you are ready for the day.
Build Up Slowly
You may want to go all in, but you’ve got to remember that there are plenty of things that you need to focus on in life, therefore you need to start slowly and make sure that you are doing just enough for you to feel the benefits. But let’s not forget, being a mother is work all in itself. You could easily fit in 10,000 steps a day just being a parent alone, but if you want to do something more, some of these approaches can make a big difference.
