DIY Photobooth Props

Thanks so much for purchasing The Ultimate DIY Party Planning Tool! I’m so excited to see all your creative party planning ideas! These photobooth props can be used in so many ways but here are just a few suggestions and ideas.

Option #1

Save the SVG and upload the images you want into your cutting machine software of choice. My absolute favorite is the Silhouette Cameo. I’ve had my Cameo for 4 years and it’s so wonderful and makes party planning so much easier!! I’ve used a Cricut a few times too though and is also a great option.

From there you will just need to trace your object and cut out your props. Paper can be found in every weight, color, design, and look. Think about your party and what paper would complement your theme. I highly suggest you use a cardstock so that the props don’t flop around while being used in pictures.

See chapter 4 in The Ultimate DIY Party Planning Tool for more about picking a theme.

Option #2

If you don’t have a cutting machine you can still use these props. Print the designs out that you want and cut out the shape. Then you can trace it onto the paper of your choice to cut out.

And then what?

Once you have all your props cut out on pretty paper, grab your hot glue gun and skewers to attach the paper props to a stick. I’ve found the 10-12″ skewers work the best for photobooth props.

If you make these photobooth props, I’d love to see how they turn out! Be sure to tag #partyplanningpro to show off your new props.

Happy party planning!
