A Very Merry 2016 Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Can you believe we’ve almost made it through another year? If you follow me on Insta-stories, you may have seen a few days ago that I quickly mailed out our 2016 Christmas Cards on Friday, two days before Christmas. When you have a less than 4 week old you get a late pass, right? I sure hope so!

Here’s the reality friends…I LOVE Christmas cards. As in I never took down the 2015 Christmas cards. We love seeing all our friends and family, plus they doubled as wall decor. #winwin

Even though we didn’t get the photos from our newborn photoshoot until a week before Christmas, I was bound and determined to still get Christmas cards out. Thankfully, Minted.com came to the rescue! I was so excited to partner with them for our 2016 Christmas cards but also to double as birth announcements to officially introduce our little Maggie Grace to everyone.

In case you missed her official introduction to the blog a few week’s back, sweet Maggie joined our family at the end of November and we did a newborn photoshoot before she was even one week old. The sweet baby was so sleepy and squishy and it was so hard to just pick a few photos for this year’s Christmas card.

Thankfully, Minted has an awesome feature called Find It Fast where you are able to select the images you want to use on your card and quickly see them in the different card designs. It made the choosing process so much easier! Which, since I was under a major time crunch anyways, was much appreciated!

Their easy recipient addressing feature made the process so much simpler. I already had everyone’s mailing addresses on my computer in a spreadsheet so all I had to do was upload the addresses to their site, adjust the names I wanted on the envelope, and it was done. That saved hours of time that a mom with a toddler and a newborn doesn’t have a few days before Christmas. #doublewinning

Let me just point out a few of the other features that had me all oogly-eyed:

  • Gold foil lettering — seriously stunning!
  • Return address printed — again, saving time is always a win in my book, plus it just looks fancy
  • Stunning envelope liners — love the gold foil to match the card
  • Plus, you can choose different cut shapes for the cards.

The other feature I loved was that you can customize the back of the card. There were many options to choose from and I went with the year in review so we can look back and remember some of the fun things that happened in 2016. It also gave me a good spot to leave the newborn baby details like her birthdate, birth weight, and height.

I just love how these turned out and couldn’t be happier!
